Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken, 5 to 7 pounds (giblets removed)
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- sea salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 limes, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Wash the chicken and place it in a baking pan and dry with paper towel.
- Coat the chicken with avocado oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Place lime slices inside the cavity and around the chicken.
- Place in the oven and cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
- Check for doneness by slicing between the thigh and wing. If the meat is still pink, cook for an additional 5 to 10 minutes and recheck.
